Situated at Nirmal Village Vasai, Maharashtra, Swami Shraddhanand Charitable Hospital, is a beacon of hope for local communities and villagers who have struggled long to find affordable and appropriate medical treatment.
With divine blessings of Late Swami Shraddhanandji and generous donations received from our donors, the Hospital and its facilities have grown exponentially over the years.
Swami Shraddhanand Charitable Hospital at Vasai was started in 1994. Bombay Medical Aid Foundation transformed an old dilapidated hospital building into a full-fledged general hospital where patients with paediatric, orthopaedic, gynaecologic and other illnesses and surgical problems are taken care of.
Today we have a large team of dedicated and trained doctors and attendants at all times.
A full-fledged Pharmacy with medicines and medical supplies, a well-equipped laboratory with ECG and Scanning facilities are available.
Expansion of the hospital building and Eye Center was completed in May 2019

Polio corrective surgery camps have been organized in the hospital during which calipers/ wheel chairs were given to the needy. Operations like hernia, appendicitis, tumors, orthopedic and gynecologic related operations like caesarean and normal deliveries are regularly carried out at the hospital by renowned surgeons.
A Palliative Care Centre started around 2007 for the seriously ill patients facing challenges associated with life-threatening illnesses.
A full-fledged Eye Centre started in November 2010, for the needy population in close vicinity of Swami Shraddhanand Hospital, Vasai. Numerous free eye camps have been held where hundreds of patients have been operated for cataract surgeries and other eye-related surgeries free of cost or at nominal rates.
Collaboration with Sri Chaitanya Seva Trust
In the year 2015, Bombay Medical Aid Foundation joined hands with Sri Chaitanya Seva Trust that manages the Bhakti Vedanta Hospital and Research Institute at Mira Road, to jointly manage the Eye Hospital. With their committed support, the Eye Hospital is doing extremely well. Around 50 % surgeries are carried out free of cost and 50 % at a very reasonable cost. In order to accommodate more patients, we have expanded the facility with 40 additional beds. In the year 2016, Bhakti Vedanta also got involved in running of our Charitable Hospital in Vasai. With their expertise, all existing facilities are greatly improved – a Dental Care Unit, an Orthopaedic Unit and an Ayurvedic Treatment unit have been added.
